Junk Food for Babies?

Gerber has a line of junk food for babies.

The label says that by 12 months babies are ready for a wider variety of foods. Called Lil Crunchies in the Graduates line, the baby junk food includes cheese puffs, vegetable puffs and fruit puffs.

To add insult to injury, it's really expensive.

Unfortunately, I have some friends who feed this crap to their child thinking that this is healthy for him. I'll have to check the ingredients next time. I do believe the sugar and salt content is really low as I have tasted it. However, I don't think there are any real fruits, vegetables, and other good stuff in them. If there is, then the fruit and vegetable content must be really low.

These "Graduate" foods are just the first step in leading a baby to more grown-up junk food.

By the way, the baby is fat.

I think by 18 months kiddies should be able to handle beginner cigarettes. They'd have to be healthy of course: perhaps herbal with extra-long filters. ;-)

That's sick. Young kids love a bowl of plain Cheerio's. They sure don't need this kind of garbage.
